Quality and Tolling Specialist | Arkema Inc. | Calvert City, KY

This position is responsible for the quality and tolling activities of
the Arkema's Fluoropolymers North American operations located in Calvert
City, KY.
- Follow processes, systems and procedures to record, investigate and
respond to customer complaints based on direction from the Supply Chain
and Plant Management.
- Analyze quality data and develop QC reports which quantify quality
performance at plant and tolling facilities
- Proactively analyze production and quality data to ensure in-process
production is within specification
- Work with Supply Chain Manager to establish formal procedures for
researching, qualifying and choosing tollers complete with performance
and quality expectations.
- Work with Calvert City manufacturing and laboratory and tollers to
determine root cause and corrective actions for complaints and
excursions from planned production
- Work with business management to implement methods to better match
customer requirements to available products and specifications
- Implement quality indicators should be used to monitor Kynar quality
- Recommend enhancements to systems, processes and procedures to
capture, organize and report product quality and tolling data
- Participate in a QC management team that will review quality and
production/tolling results on a monthly basis
- Suggest methods that can be implemented for the continuous improvement
of product quality and productivity
- Work with Supply Chain Manager to establish best practices for Kynar
quality and tolling operations in the US
- Coordinate with Asia and Europe on standards, product specifications
and tolling
- Work closely with business management to research and qualify tollers
in conjunction with HES
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Polymer Chemistry, Logistics / Supply Chain Management, or related technical discipline
- 2-5 years chemical experience
- Lean Six Sigma Training preferred
- Project management and demonstration of successful project implementation
- Experience in a Quality Control lab or Quality department
- Production experience in a chemical plant
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Strong interpersonal/communications skills
